well, its been a long time since i posted. Well, i'm kinda settled into our own apartments (yah, finally, not more sleeping on the floor. hahhaha) and we finally settled our module selection. yes, i know its last min but hey, how are we to know if the exams would clash or not? Anyway, it SNOWed! Actually it kinda felt like rain. haha. so much for the hype.
Also, we went to check out the pubs ard our area and to our surprise, the clubs are called "cafe" and pubs as well. And even more crazy, the clubs didnt have silly cover charge and there was even 1 that had the drinks sold to guys at a cheaper price than girls! haha, how come there's no such clubs in singapore eh. come to think of it, maybe its a gay club, dun know cos didnt enter. Also, the drinks were dirt cheap! ok, not really that cheap but still much cheaper than the clubs back home. Anyway, we had quite a bit of fun up till going home where we really wished we had owned bikes cos' the temperature really plunged during the night and being tired and cold is not a good conbination. And man do we wish there were cheaper food after drinks as the cheapest was a pa-ta-tic ham and cheese sandwich which cost--- s$3.40! crazy but hey, when u are hungry, what's there to complain. haha.
Anyhow, when we talked to our flatmate who was not a big fan of the club/pub scene here and he said that they cant serve proper cocktails here. ahaha. and thats why he never goes to the clubs/pubs here. oh well....
So maybe next post i'll get some pics of a polish meal and the snow pics. haha. kinda miss snow already. Also, i miss my baby as well. Boo. think its cos of the cold weather and i cant help but think of a notorious the army song:
"when the cold wind blows... when the cold wind blows... i know i know, you have to go, so hurry back home, cos's i miss you so"
well, truth hurts...

@ Einhoven Central station. Thats where the fun begins... :)
In the train, sleeping.... zzzzz....
Me @ the train station under the airport at Amsterdam. Can'e tell but its cold there, about 7 degrees!

Just landed in holland and found out that the bloody school made a bad blunder in the booking of our accomodation. Instead of what was stated in the email as started from 1st feb, it was apparently 7th feb so my friend shoong hong and me and no room for the next week! We then had 2 choices, to stay with our new found friends from the airplane to holland, who happen to be going to TU/e for exchange too, or to go to a budget hotel (cheapest = Euros 140/week) to stay. In the end, we decided to go with the first as the rooms seems big enough to accomodate 2 (I hope.. haha) and also it saves us A LOT. haha. Oh, and that not all, NOT all the rooms have internet! we are supposed to settle in to the rooms and THEN make arrangements for internet connections, which could take weeks! like WTH. Luckly, student are more flexible and resourceful and we found that most rooms have internet access from past tenants. heh, good for me too.
So now i have a room (half actually) and internet access. yea! OH, It was also so cold (abt 10 degrees with rain and wind) that i kinda fell sick! yah, how unlucky can one get for a first day right? But i guess its not totally from the weather cos' i was having a flu/cold in singapore before i left so that's probably the source. Anyhow, so lucky that my new-found-friend/roomie (daniel) had almost everything and provided me with a sleeping bag and also lent me his blanket! Daniel DA-man, haha. That's why i was able to sleep soundly to recover enough to type this blog man.
Also, the bloody hostel/apartment is quite far from the school. Or so it seems as we walked tell our feetsare sore and we're still not there yet! And top it off, the people there says its near! siao!Alright then, hope today's better day!
